Smoother mowing and a smoother ride The pivoting front axle permits 5.5 inches of travel on each side, allowing the frontwheels to followuneven terrain. Since the mower deck is mounted to the front axle, not the frame, the deck floats over changes in ground contour for a clean cut without scalping. Operators also enjoy a supremely smooth ride. High-volume clippings discharge A deep-tunnel deck design—5.5 inches on the left and increasing to 8 inches at the right-hand discharge— allows for a huge volume of grass to be discharged, allowing the mower to provide an excellent cut, even in tall grass conditions. Plus, the massive 149-square-inch discharge opening is over double the industry standard to allow grass clippings to spread evenly in an eight-foot pattern without bunching or clumping. The cutting blades are set back 3.5 to 6 inches from the front edge of the mower deck, which allows the grass that is pushed over by the front edge to stand back up and be cut. Each blade is overlapped 1 ½ inches to prevent any streaking. Comfortable operation Adjustable steering arms make operation comfortable and virtually effortless.
